    Procrastinating!
I've started to run out of distractions so I figured I'd update.

Life has been kind of hectic, but it ended yesterday after the stupid engineering project presentation day!!!!!! That project had been eating my life for the past two or three weeks, not to mention the concerts/rehearsals eating the first weekend of December.

Friday was a good day cuz I found out that I was one of four people who didn't have to take the Calc 2 final! That saved me from worrying about studying and getting up for an 8 a.m. exam today, but it also gave me more time to work on engineering becuase we got to leave since all they were doing was review. Then, AJ and I were working on the structure and we had it work! I mean, it wasn't exactly perfect, but it was something that worked and something better than what we had on Tuesday...

Then, the weekend...I spent a fair amount of it in the engineering building. Saturday night, I was in there for three hours helping other groups. It was girl's night in the engineering building, and that was fun. ^__^

Finally, Monday rolled around. I got up at 6/6:30 to get to the engineering building at 7. The rest of my group showed up at 7:30ish and Dr. Stein didn't even show up until about 8:30/8:45. We were the third group to go, and we ran into some problems. We fixed those and went again around 11. We used one official trial, but it ran into the barrier, so it was a bust. We then didn't get to go again until after 2. Over two hours to sit and wait...so I grabbed my laptop and sat there putzing around online. Finally, when Will and AJ got back a little before 2, we fixed up a few things, and then it was our turn. Dr. Stein actually helped us and, after another failed trial, we got it 6.8 feet. This was the shortest distance achieved, but it was still 40/100 instead of zero. SO I ran back to my room, grabbed my camera and took pictures. Our structure was actually so strong, that I was able to stand on it. We then proceeded to throw it, jump on it, crush it, hit it with PVC pipe, and just generally destroy it. I put pictures on facebook! ^^v

Okay, I guess I'll actually go get some work done now....

Is it can be home tiem nao, plz??
I wanna go home and see people and kitties and get hugs (both fuzzy and not) and go to Maine and go to the craft fair and get in the Christmas spirit and relax hopefully maybe possibly. RWU is awesome and all, but 1) it can get very boring at times and 2) it's not home. Plus, this will be the longest I've been here in a row...ever...the only comparison is the first three weeks I was here, but that was 22 days, while this is 23 days. That's probably why I'm so spazzy right now. Like, I can't focus on anything...it's insane. I wanna go home!

I feel like updating, even though I don't really have any specific reason...

Well, I moved. I am now in Maple 507 instead of 503. It was upsetting at first cuz I felt like taking complete advantage of my willingness to room with Aggie by making me move too, but I think it definitely worked out for the better having me move down here. I freak people out because they come in and it's set up exactly the same as it was upstairs. It's mainly cuz the art is exactly the same...

I had a fun weekend with Raisin. First I went to visit Wheaton and then, when it was time to go back to RWU, I didn't want to and I wanted Raisin to come visit, so we devised a plan in less than an hour of how she was gonna come stay over night at RWU. So we took public transportation from Wheaton to RWU and she spent the night here last night. Then she had to leave today. I don't wanna have classes, I just wanna go home...

I have two papers and a speech I should be working on, but just feel absolutely no motivation to do, well, anything.

This is the longest I've been away from home since the beginning of the year...maybe that's why I'm counting down the days until I'm home for the break...

    Oww...
Okay, so I'm gonna update about the weekend cuz it was AWESOME!!! Well, mostly...

Friday: Chameleon Club was the usual...but this time I got to dance with four random drunk guys instead of just one. And I stayed a little longer. Got back around 1/1:30 and went to bed at 2.

Saturday: Got up at 8 to finish packing and mommy came to get me at 9, then we got Alli and went home. After we dropped Alli off, we bought me some cleats and shin guards so I could play intramural soccer the last two games. The, I got home, took a shower, and was in and out of sleep on the couch for about two hours. I finally got up and straightened my hair, then Alli came over so Bethy and Cory could come get us. We went into Haverhill for the party which was SO much fun! We watched the Red Sox game, and then some of the people played Seven Deadly Sins which was fun to watch. The party was over around 2:30, but then there was some cleaning up to do, so we didn't go to bed until 3ish. Of course, if you put me, Bethy, and Alli in a room, after having not seen each other for about a month, that means talking. So we talked and enhanced Alli's facebook until about 4:30 when Bethy and I fell asleep, and Alli finished up on the computer and went to bed.

Sunday: Got up at 6:45 so that Bethy could get to band practice in Wakefield, then Alli and I got some stuff from the house and headed off to Lowell for MICCA Finals. Some of the bands were really good, while others were not so good. Wakefield did an awesome job (and that's only a little bit biased) and got a silver medal overall. I'm very proud of my successors. After the awards, Alli and I went onto the field and I found Tyler and he picked me up and swung me around. He was so happy! Finally, they had to leave, so Alli and I went to look at stuff to buy and she got some pins. Now, the whole time I was there, I was looking around for Steve, but I figured he wouldn't be there before the performance since they'd have to rehearse and it was kind of early. So, I looked for him when UMass performed, and I might have seen him a few times, and I think I saw him walking off the field. So, I'm looking around as I walk down to see Wakefield kids and as we walk around to the tables selling stuff, hoping to see him cuz I haven't seen him in a year. Well, I didn't see him, so I called mommy to come pick us up, and Alli and I waited where she had dropped us off. Then, from across the parking lot, I see the back of the head of a guy that looks kinda like Steve, so Alli and I walk over, casually just in case it isn't him and, luckily it was! Of course, mommy showed up half-way through our conversation, but she was willing to wait. It was so nice to be able to talk to him again...Then we headed back to Wakefield, finished packing, loaded the car, and headed back to school.

I just got out of the shower after my first soccer game, even though it's the second to last of the season...maybe we'll make it to playoffs?? Who knows...but anyway, I played the whole game, and right toward the beginning, I went to get the ball from some guy, and we basically ran into each other, but him being the bigger stronger one, I fell on my butt and now my left butt cheek/bone hurts...oh well, it was fun. We won 2-1, so maybe we'll have a chance...who knows.

I think that's all for now...I'm gonna go watch Red Sox and avoid homework as much as possible...

The rest of what I was going to say...
Okay, now that I'm back from chorus, I can finish...

I think the only thing left was an update about today...Got up around 8 to work on my speech, had classes from 12:30-4:50 and nothing exciting happened except I presented my speech which was probably really bad, but whatever...

I can't wait for this weekend. I'll have some homework, but I'll get to spend three nights at home instead of just one or two, so it'll probably seem more relaxing than usual.

I think that's all for now...I'll update later if something comes up, but I doubt it will...

    Weekend!
Okay, I was gonna do this last night while I avoided working on my speech, but I guess I'll do it now. I'm gonna update about my weekend cuz you all care.

Friday: I stayed at RWU for the night cuz I wanted to go to Chameleon Club. I wasn't quite sure if I was gonna go cuz other people were gonna be somewhere else before hand and they were gonna call before they went, but I wasn't sure if they were going to. So, some of her friends and I helped convince Aggie to go, so I went with her and we waited around for close to an hour before anyone actually showed up. But that was okay. The people we were waiting for finally showed up and we moved onto the dance floor aka the giant mass of people. There were insane strobe lights and whatnot, and I was so glad I wasn't drunk like most of the people there were. So, we were dancing, minding our own business when a random drunk guy comes up and starts dancing with Aggie. You might be saying, what's so special about that?? Well, then he started dancing with both of us...random. But wait, there's more. Then, somehow Aggie got off of this and he was dancing with me. So I danced with a random drun k guy for half an hour cuz he was practically clinging to me, but it was okay, cuz I've never really danced with anyone like that, so it was fun. ^^ Not to mention he kept kissing my neck and my cheek. And then around 11:30 he said he was gonna go...I think he said "I'm gonna go to bed," but I couldn't understand much of what he said...and he kissed Aggie and I on the cheek. Then the two of us headed back since Aggie's ankle hurt, and I got to hang out with Alex and Jack and we watched over Andrew for a while. What I got out of the night: "It's so much fun watching drunk people as long as they aren't drunk to the point of being sick."

Saturday: Went home, hung out for a while, and went shopping. Mommy brought me to the new Reading S&S where I saw the Regan's, John Fitzpatrick (a former manager of mine), and I think I saw Dave (a guy who works at the bank in the Stoneham S&S). It was very random... Then I went to the Revolution soccer game. I must say I was quite disappointed in the lack of shirtless guys attempting to make us do the wave....oh well. It was a good game, and we won so it's all good. ^^

Sunday: Uh....what'd I do.....I hung around, and then left to stop by Wheaton where I got marked on the height chart and got books for a project I did, and then came back here to do some work....or attempt to...

Monday (yesterday): Calc 2: boring, Writing: nothing exciting happened....basically worked on my speech all day, then went to a Hollerin Hawks meeting and watched the soccer game which was fun.

Okay, I gotta go to Chorus, but I'll probably update after that cuz I might rememebr stuff to write about. Peace out for now...

    Random
So, I randomly read through all of my earlier journal entries. You know why?? Well, it was originally cuz I was looking at Beth's entries and on some of the ones from Aug. '05, I had left comments like "8 days!" so I wanted to see what I was so excited about. So I did. And then I just kept reading. Looking back on everything made me miss sophomore and junior of high school SO much. When I had time to just hang out with people, even if I was avoiding homework. When I was close with Beth, Laura, and Kat and we could sit around for hours just talking. I'm still close with Beth and I've made some new friends, but it's not the same. We're getting older and gaining more responsibilities...

On a random side note: I seemed to be the only person in my engineering class to recognize Ash Ketchum...or at least the only one to admit it. My engineering professor is so strange, but he's so silly. I love that class. And the kid who sits next to me...I have to help him with AutoCad and therefore end up helping the guy next to him, cuz he looks off the guy next to me. It's fun being able to follow directions well. ^^

I can't wait to go home. I can't wait for Winter Break where I get to go to Florida and relax because I won't have any work to do. Like in high school, winter break was basically "the week where teachers gave you projects and reading galore." But now it will be the break between semesters and it will be five or so glorious weeks without homework. That'll be fun.

Now I should work on my homework...which seems to be how I ended many of my entries...

    College!??!
I thought I'd update cuz I haven't in a while and, well, now I'm at college!

My roommate, Catherine, is really nice and she's an archy, so it's fun seeing the work she's doing. The girl across the hall, Lauren, is an engineering major like me and is in my Calc 2 class. Jeff and Andrew next door are really nice and fun to hang out with. I'm living in Maple 5, which means I get to climb 55 stairs (yes, we counted) to get to my room. No freshman 15 for me! It's set up in little suite type things, so there are about six people in each suite and there are four suite areas, so with a few extras in each suite, we have 27 people on the floor. I like the set up and hang out with Catherine, Lauren, Jeff, Andrew, and Melissa (a girl from the suite below us). And by the way, my view is awesome. If you have my facebook, go look at the dor photos I posted cuz there are pictures there. But if you don't have a facebook, there's a space right between two trees through which I can see the bay and the land on the other side. I egt to see occasional sailing lessons and it's just really pretty. Down side: it's facing east...aka I don't get to sleep in because the sun gets up early.

    Now onto classes:
Calc 2 seems okay, and what I thought was going to be the hardest part (learning Maple for the labs) wasn't all that hard. We started anti-derivatives and initial value problems yesterday, so it's mainly review.
Engineering seems fun. I have the awesome professor that got me really excited about the program here when I came for an Open House. And plus, I'm the only girl in my class. There are two other classes, one with 4 girls and one with 3. I could go to one of the other classes if I feel like it, but I think I like my class. We'll see how Tuesdays are going. My group won the linguine/play-doh/quarter tower building thing with a height of 31 in. It was fun.
Writing doesn't seem too bad, but we didn't do much today.
The only classes I haven't been to are Literary Philosophy and Intro to Communications. Lit Phil seems interesting, and Intro to Comm is basically public speaking which, although nerve-wracking, will be good for me. The most interesting part will be getting from Lit Phil to Intro to Comm, seeing as have 10 minutes or so to get to North Campus. North Campus is about a 15 minute walk. Again, no freshman 15.

I like it here and I'm glad I chose RWU. It'll be nice to go home to visit, but I'm happy here. That's all for now.

    Random thought...
You know what I might do??: For my 18th birthday, (in 6 months and 23 days...yay for thinking ahead!), I want to go old school. Like, at 18, people might have big parties somewhere fancy or something. I don't really know what they do. Or maybe they wouldn't even have a party. But me, I want to have a theme. Probably Disney princesses. And I'd have the little paper tiara kinda thing, we'd have the cone hats (mainly just for laughs), and it'd be a sleepover where we had a Disney movie marathon. That'd be awesome. I miss those big theme parties where everything, and I mean everything right down to the gifts, was themed. I miss those days...

I also miss Ronin Warriors. They're so old school, yet totally awesome. It's really hard to find a good Ronin Warriors image gallery....for those of you out there that care. ::cricketcricket::

    Well, I'm gonna go.......Ihavenoclue.

Okay, I'm mainly just updating cuz Raisin wants me too...and she's the only person who reads this anyway. ^^() HI RAISIN!!!!

Okay, my news: in the Sims 2, this single guy I made, Leo Sci-Fi (I gave him pointy ears! ^^), TOTALLY just had twin alien babies (one girl, Freya, and one boy, Storm). As you (aka Raisinwhoistheonlyreadingthismostlikely) know, dealing twins with two parents is hard enough, nevermind only one....man this is gonna be heck...but I did learn that you don't need to teach them that stuff (walking/talking/peeing), so I won't kill myself over that. I'll just make sure they live.

Well, now I'm gonna take a shower, but then I might go play more Sims. ^________^v

    I want Christmas!!
Okay, here's what I've been doing recently since I know you all care immensely.

Thursday: Band banquet! It was awesomely fun. And I actually liked the music the DJ played. Yay!

Friday: Laura's birthday!! Yay!! Then I went home, worked on drawing a Christmasy pic that I'll paint if I get around to it. Raisin and I watch LotR3 and ate Unos pizza (yummy ^^). At least she didn't fall asleep during any of the battle scenes this time.

Saturday: Went to Laura's party which was awesome! Then Beth, Trantie, and I slept over. All four of us slept on a three person couch. That's how cool we are. Of course, Bethy ended up moving to the floor, but it was still funny. ^^\m/

Today (Sunday): My aunt Signe, uncle John, and cousin Berit came over and we had our Christmas. Every year we get together, exchange presents, and eat duck...and green stuff. ^^ It was fun...but it made it feel like it was Christmas cuz usually we get together either on Christmas day or right around then. However, I hafta go back to school tomorrow....>.< Of course, Raisin doesn't cuz she's in college and she gets five stinkin weeks off!!!! Grrr her and all her collegeness.

So, I just updated that instead of reading my history or working on my Spanish essay....oh well! Look at me caring: -.-zzzzzzz Well, I guess now I'll go attempt to read history and maybe work on Spanish, but I doubt I'll get to Spanish. I'm already extremely tired.......

    Winter Ball!!!
The Winter Ball was awesome!! The picture came out really well (and this time there were only 9 people instead of 15!!!) and they had free food ^_________^ The music was actually fairly good. Of course, I think the DJ was boycoting us or something cuz he only played two out of three or four songs that we requested and one that we requested at the beginning was played right near the end. Then Laura had to go ask again for the other one. But it was so cool that Beth and Brandon got the last dance! ^^ And Laura and I got out of that alive!! ^^v Then we went to Bickford's (me, Laura, Beth, Brandon, Chris, and his date) and it was good.

This weekend has been awesome! Snow day, mall, Winter Ball, posibly mall. I love it. And band banquet on Thursday!! Then Laura's party on Saturday!!! Then sleepover!! Then Christmas!!! This has got to be the best month I've had in a while!! Well, I'm gonna go tame my hair a little, then actually sleep so I can get up and go shop!! ^______________^\m/

    Caffeine
I have learned that caffeine has virtually no effect on me. On the box for Excedrin quicktabs, it said that the recommended dose (two tablets) had about as much caffeine as a cup of coffee. I took two tablet thingies...and fell asleep less than an hour later. I did that twice. So I'm kinda curious if a cup of coffee would have the same effect...but I've never had coffee and I don't know if I would like it.

I had this whole long entry written about what I did while I was at Wheaton, but then my internet connection was being freaky and internet explorer stopped working, so the entry went kaput. If you really care, you can ask me what happened, but it wasn't all that exciting. Except for Phase 10. That rocked.

    My cat's addicted to alcohol...
...rubbing alcohol that is. I guess last night, my mom used some rubbing alcohol, so Jazzy smelled it in the bathroom. Usually she'll just knock over the trash looking for the tissue we used or whatever it was. But this, she went beyond that. She OPENED the cupboard with the bottle in it, knocked out a nail polish remover bottle and a box of band-aids to get to the bottle. She's so crazy!!! Cuz last night I thought I heard something, but I figured it was either part of a dream and I was kinda half asleep, or it was something bad and I didn't wanna go see. But that's kinda funny...

    Okay, that's my story....so exciting, I know.
